FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions everyone asks before their first session or evaluation — answered plainly. Don't see yours? Send it through the contact page.

Sessions & logistics

Are all sessions online?

Yes. Therapy and evaluations happen over secure, HIPAA-compliant video (Zoom) for clients located in Florida, Missouri, Kansas and Virginia.

Can I have my sessions in Spanish?

Completely — therapy, evaluations and every email in between can be in Spanish, English or whatever mix feels natural.

How long are sessions?

Standard therapy sessions run 50–60 minutes. Evaluation interviews may run longer — you'll know the plan in advance.

How do I get started?

Book directly online, message us on WhatsApp, or send a message through the contact page.

Fees & insurance

How much does therapy cost?

Session fees are confirmed when you book or in your free consultation. Transparent pricing, no surprises — you'll always know before committing.

How much does an immigration evaluation cost?

Evaluations are a flat fee that covers interviews, assessment and your complete written report. Current pricing is confirmed in your free consultation; standard and express timelines are available.

Do you take insurance?

Ask about current insurance options in your consultation. For out-of-network plans, you can request a superbill — an itemized receipt many plans partially reimburse.

Confidentiality & evaluations

Is what I share confidential?

Yes, protected by law and professional ethics. Exceptions are the standard legal ones: imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or abuse of a minor. Evaluation reports go only to you and your attorney.

Does an evaluation guarantee my immigration case?

No — and no honest professional will promise that. The evaluation is strong supporting evidence; the decision belongs to USCIS or the court.

Is a Zoom evaluation valid for USCIS?

Yes. Telehealth evaluations by licensed professionals are routinely accepted by USCIS and immigration courts.

Can you also be my therapist after my evaluation?

Yes — that's one of the reasons clients choose Penuel. The same therapist who documented your story can help you heal it, without starting over.
