Immigration Evaluations

Immigration Psychological Evaluations

If your attorney asked for a psychological evaluation, you're likely under pressure to get it right. I provide clear, court-ready evaluations — interviews in English or Spanish, reports in English, accepted by USCIS and immigration courts.

What an evaluation does for your case

A psychological evaluation is a professional clinical report that documents how your experiences — persecution, abuse, victimization, or the threat of family separation — have affected your mental health and daily life.

It turns your story into objective, clinically supported evidence that your attorney can present to USCIS or the court. For many case types, it is one of the strongest pieces of supporting documentation available.

Why work with me

I am a licensed bilingual psychotherapist who specializes in trauma. Your interviews happen in the language where you can tell your story fully — no interpreters, no details lost in translation.

And unlike evaluation-only services, I can continue supporting you with trauma therapy or EMDR after your report is done, so you never have to start over with someone new.

Types of cases I evaluate

Each immigration case has different requirements. I conduct evaluations for the main humanitarian and family-based processes:

  • Asylum — documenting persecution and trauma
  • VAWA — for survivors of abuse who self-petition
  • U-Visa and T-Visa — victims of crime or trafficking
  • Extreme hardship waivers (I-601 / I-601A)

Everything happens online

Evaluations are conducted over secure Zoom video sessions — no travel, no waiting rooms. I serve clients located in Florida, Missouri, Kansas and Virginia.

Remote evaluations by licensed professionals are routinely accepted by USCIS and immigration courts.

Common questions

Do I need an immigration psychological evaluation?

The best person to answer that is your immigration attorney. If they recommended one, it is because clinical documentation can strengthen your case. If you are unsure, book a free consultation and we will talk it through.

Is a Zoom evaluation accepted by USCIS?

Yes. Evaluations conducted via secure telehealth by a licensed professional are routinely accepted by USCIS and immigration courts.

Will the evaluation be in Spanish?

Your interviews can be entirely in Spanish (or English — your choice). The written report is always delivered in English, as immigration authorities require.

Does an evaluation guarantee my case is approved?

No. The evaluation is professional clinical evidence that supports your case, but the decision belongs exclusively to USCIS or the court. Be cautious of anyone who promises otherwise.

How fast can I get my report?

Standard turnaround is about 15 business days after your last interview. If you have a deadline, an express option is available — mention it in your consultation.

Evaluation types

After your evaluation, the journey can continue

The same therapist who documents your story can help you heal it. Many clients continue with trauma therapy or EMDR after their evaluation — no need to retell everything to someone new.
